My fat ass.

... the journey to find my inner stripper.

I’m 28, goth-ish and I live in Seattle. I’ve got two cats and a life partner- we’ve been together for 9 years. I grew up in Western New York, I’ve been a vegetarian for 16 years and I’m a fatty.

I don’t think that fat is a nasty thing to say, I don’t hate my body now nor have I ever. I am just on the search for a skinnier me so I’ll look hot in my wedding photos. I am recanting my tales of this weight loss goal here, as publicly as I can, because maybe I’ll help someone out, or inspire, or maybe you’ll laugh at me or with me- doesn’t matter, it’s the internet and I does what I wants.

Please, feel free to ask me anything.

Now, I’ve been 110 lbs and I’ve been 166. I’ve ran 3 miles every day (at 145lbs) and I have spent MONTHS watching back to back episodes of x-files and drinking coke floats(120 and 160lbs). Sometimes, you just have to roll with the punches and do all you can do to keep yourself from falling back in the slums. Sometimes the slums are messing up on your diet, but sometimes they’re forgetting where you could be.
Now this, y’all, is what I call a diet snob, thitler, skinlin, what have you…
But onto the photo at hand. I mean, A.) it may negate the idea of “healthy”, but it doesn’t necessarily negate the idea of “low carb”. B.) who the hell has any right to exploit this lady’s dinner?…
Say what you will, but if I spend Monday-Friday munching on kale chips, taking ginger shots, and choking down oily sardines, I will throw as much damn chicken in a fryer as I damn well please. And kudos to this lady for treating herself without compromising. Ku-dos. We all crave comfort foods, and if there is an alternative that won’t knock us out of ketosis —GO FOR IT. Go All. The. Way.

AMEN, sister!!!! I love the snark towards low-carbers by those who insist we can’t be doing it right if we’re avoiding carbs but eating fat. DUH. Thats how low carb works- more fat, better fat, healthy fat. Deep frying is one of the fucking best treats about low carb. Guh….
